On the presentation link eduTecher, this website served as a connnection for teachers to post and recieve web tools from each other. You can search by subject matter and grade level when looking for web 2.0 tools. My favorite part of the website was a new links section on the home page. One of these such tools, artistifier program, is a site that allows teachers and students to take URLs for video footage on YouTube and convert them to old fashion looking films, such as the Oscar-winning silent black-and-white movie, The Artist. The really neat part is that this easily allows users to add subtitles on the clip of footage. This tool could be used in talking about film storyboards or a contect video creator.
From the Extreme Web 2.0 Makeover: Education Edition handout it led me to this Scoop.It . On this sight there is a constant blog like formate of Web 2.0 tools. a couple new sights I found from this website were Lego Comic Builder , My Fake Wall, and Popplet.
The Incorporate Smithsonian American Art Museum Online Resources into Web 2.0 Projects presentation handout and presentation link led me to the Smithsonian American Art Museum website. The Smithsonian website has content, teacher, and student activities links. In addition, the website gives the national arts standards that apply to the links.
Perk Up Your Projects with Web 2.0 presentation handout was a wiki that laid out many different tools to create an interesting and engaging classroom. Among these tools were links and examples of creating animated avatars, comic creators, digital scrapbooks, image creation, interactive timelines, logos and text, slideshows, and streaming video. The ideas on this wiki would ensure that no student would ever be bored in a classroom ever again! One tool that I would like to use more in my classroom is interactive timelines when talking about the life and history of art and artists.
